Roller screws can offer much longer life in high-load service because load is distributed across multiple rolling contacts. The actual life estimate depends on dynamic load rating, equivalent mean load, speed, lubrication, and alignment.
Planetary roller screws are well suited to shock-load applications, but we still review impact factor, material, heat treatment, preload, mounting stiffness, and validation evidence before approval.
High-speed feasibility is reviewed by lead, RPM, lubrication, heat, bearing support, and duty cycle. Speed targets should be supplied together with load and stroke data.
